DESCRIPTION: This rug is named 'Altan', Turkish for sunrise. The name was submitted by a reader who said the soft colors of this rug reminded her of just that. An expansive tabriz with beautiful wear throughout, this rug features a central, circular medallion whose curves were a symbol of fine craftsmanship and careful, tight knots per square inch -- typical of city workshop-made tabrizes. Given its mix of exquisite detailing and monochromatic color scheme, this rug would be equally at home in a traditional space as in a modern one. Pattern, color variation, and signs of wear with vintage items is normal. For additional pictures or videos of any of our rugs, email a request to hello[at]passerinhome[dot]com.
To extend the life of the rug, Passerine recommends rug pads with all vintage rugs. Add one to your order by selecting the name of your desired rug from the rug pad product drop down.
