ORIGIN: 1920s Malayer
RUG COLORS: Rust, soft black (reads blue in some lights), terra-cotta, wheat
PILE HEIGHT: Low
MATERIAL: Wool on cotton
DESCRIPTION: This rug would be an excellent candidate for a vintage rug turned stair runner, or that extra-long, narrow hallway! It is a one-of-a-kind piece in which the dyed pile, rug design, and actual weaving were all performed by a single weaver for sale within a cottage industry that surrounded major rug-making cities. It has been treated with an antique wash, softening its tones to appeal to the palette of any modern-day home. Pattern, color variation, and signs of wear with vintage items is normal. If you have specific questions about wear or colors, email hello[at]passerinehome[dot]com or to call us to discuss this rug in more detail.
We recommend using rug pads to extend the life of all Passerine rugs. Add a custom-sized rug pad to your order using order add-on the drop down above.
