We are happy to hold a product for 24 hours so that you can double-check room measurements and be confident in your purchase. Since we maintain a limited and one-of-a-kind inventory, we will release the product back to the public if the product is not purchased within 24 hours. I LOVE YOUR RUGS, BUT I HAVE KIDS! ARE THESE RUGS KID-FRIENDLY?
Vintage rugs are made to stand the test of time and are safe to use in high-traffic areas. However, anything that could stain your favorite wool sweater can stain a rug. If you intend to place a rug in a high-stain zone like a dining room, we recommend protecting your investment with a professional application of Ultra-Guard, a nontoxic substance used by interior designers to protect high-end fabrics from stains. UltraGuard has trained technicians available to complete an in-home application of their products nationally, but we also offer this service as an add-on to your purchase. If purchased through Passerine, this professional application will occur prior to shipping. Bundled pricing is available if more than one rug is purchased at the same time. YIKES! I HAVE A STAIN! HOW SHOULD I CLEAN MY RUG?
All Passerine rugs are professionally cleaned prior to shipping. To maintain its condition, vacuum with suction only (no bristles). When needed, use a white towel to dab up everything that you can, and then spot clean with water and a mild detergent like Woolite. If spot cleaning does not remove a stain, we recommend a professional cleaning. Never use a carpet cleaning machine to clean a vintage rug.
YOU RECOMMEND RUG PADS. WHERE CAN I BUY ONES FOR A NON-STANDARD RUG SIZE?
We now offer custom-sized rug pads that can be purchased directly through our site. Just look for the add-on product option on any rug product page. Rug pads will be sized for the rug selected and shipped directly from our fulfillment partner to you.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?
Unless otherwise noted, all orders are packaged and shipped within 72 hours of your order placement. Orders are shipped via UPS or FedEx Ground and typically arrive 1-3 business days after they leave our D.C. headquarters. All orders will require signature at the time of delivery.
WHAT WILL SHIPPING COST?
We charge a flat fee for Ground shipping, which includes the cost of insurance. Small rugs and runners are $50 within the continental U.S., medium and large rugs are $100. If you wish to have shipping expedited, please email email@example.com immediately after purchasing. We will are happy to price out alternative shipping options for you and invoice you separately for the incremental cost in shipping.
CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?
Yes. Once your order has shipped, we will share the tracking number with you.
I AM TRYING TO SELL A VINTAGE RUG THAT I INHERITED. CAN I SELL THEM TO YOU?
We do not purchase rugs from the public. We recommend Chairish for selling your personal heirloom/inherited rugs.
