Cecilia (3 x 12)
Passerine

DIMENSIONS: 2'11" x 11'7"
ORIGIN: 1920s Malayer
RUG COLORS: Dark blue field, teal, olive green, flecks of mustard and a bit of violet on one end
MATERIALS: Wool pile on cotton.
DESCRIPTION: The Cecilia is a malayer rug, hand-knotted by a cottage industry of small shops and in-home weavers. Delicate scrolling floral designs observed in this runner's dark field were likely inspired by the ornate designs observed in neighboring city workshops. An excellent candidate for a vintage stairwell runner, and can be paired with the wider Brookland rug for a space that requires two similar runners for a design.
This rug has been treated with an antique wash, softening its tones to appeal to the palette of any modern-day home. Pattern, color variation, and signs of wear with vintage items is normal.
PILE: Low pile. We recommend rug pads with all Passerine rugs.
