DESCRIPTION: Mahals are village rugs, a favorite style among western designers for their unstuffy yet inventive designs. Motifs selected for the rug's field and border were woven from memory by its weaver. This subdued, worn rug features an all-over water garden "herati" pattern in its field, made of diamonds and curved leaves that resemble fish. This rug has been treated with an antique wash, softening its tones to appeal to the palette of any modern-day home. Pattern, color variation, and signs of wear with vintage items is normal.
We recommend using rug pads to extend the life of all Passerine rugs.
