DESCRIPTION: Malayers, hamadans, and mahals are village rugs, and are favorite styles among designers for their unstuffy yet inventive designs. Motifs selected for the rug's field and border were woven from memory by its weaver and often include garden motifs, a 'water garden' pattern of diamonds and curved, fish-shaped leaves, or a repeating paisely-shaped 'boteh' designs. This rug has been treated with an antique wash, softening its tones to appeal to the palette of any modern-day home. Pattern, color variation, and signs of wear with vintage items is normal. If you have specific questions about wear or colors, email hello[at]passerinehome[dot]com or to call us to discuss this rug in more detail.
We recommend using rug pads to extend the life of all Passerine rugs. Add a custom-sized rug pad to your order using order add-on the drop down above.
