Carson (8x9)
Passerine

DIMENSIONS: 8'x9'2"
ORIGIN: 1960s Turkish Kilim
RUG COLORS: Very dark brown, white, flecks of blue
MATERIAL: 100% goat hair
PILE HEIGHT: flatwoven, no pile
DESCRIPTION: This flatwoven kilim was woven of goat hair in Adana, Turkey in the 1960s. Goat hair was commonly used in kilim rugs for its strength and water-resistant properties: pour water on this rug and it will bead up like a performance fabric! An excellent choice for anywhere you might use an indoor-outdoor rug: 3-season porches, mudrooms, etc. Almost completely undyed, this rug includes a smattering of blue-dyed thread, likely leftover from another kilim and woven in for subtle interest. Pattern, color variation, and signs of wear with vintage items is normal. All rugs are washed prior to shipping.
